How Often Do You Have New Items For Sale?

We try to update the web site with new collectibles as they become available or on a bi-monthly basis. We would encourage anyone looking for something specific to contact us as many times we will have something in stock that may not yet be posted to the web site.

Terms Used For Grading Items For Sale

Below is a listing of our grading terms. It is important to note that one person's interpretation of "MINT" may actually be a "NEAR MINT" or even "EXCELLENT" to another. The more you collect, the more experience you have with grading an item. We try to stay as consistent as possible with the items we sell and always welcome inquires on conditions of items.

HTF = Hard To Find
NRFB = Never Removed From Box
NRFC = Never Removed From Card
NRFP = Never Removed From Packaging
MOC = Mint On Card
MIB = Mint In Box; the item is in the original box or packaging and close to pristine with all accessories present.
LOOSE = The item is not in the original packaging.
LPW = Lightly Played With
MINT = The item is close to factory mint with all accessories present.
NM = Near Mint; the item is in close to mint condition with the exception of perhaps a very slight flaw and gently played with.
EXC = Excellent; the item may have 2 or more flaws but still worth displaying.
VG = Very Good; the item has definitely been played with and perhaps in need of repair.
GOOD = The item shows definite signs of rough play and useful perhaps for a part or piece it comes with.
POOR = The item has major irreversible damage and perhaps useful for restoration practices.
NOTE: When an item is listed with one or more conditions (i.e. nm/exc or exc/vg, etc.) this means that the item is considered to be a bit of both grading conditions.

What Do I Do If...

Occasionally, an item from the web site will be posted on eBay simultaneously. In such a case, for that item to be for sale from the web site, it would have to end on auction without a winning bid. If this occurs with an item you are interested in, please contact us and let us know.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs depend on your zip code or country as well as the weight of the order. To get an exact quote, we would need your zip code or country in which you live. You can find out more about other shipping options and information by visiting our How To Order page.

Pay Pal Payments

Yes, we welcome Pay Pal payments from buyers in the USA, but not from International buyers. For Pay Pal payments, we require that the ship to address be a confirmed shipping address. This is not the same as being "verified". This confirmed address is the same address that you have your credit card statement sent to. Our experience with Pay Pal is that it is convenient for us as well as the buyer. If you are not yet signed up with Pay Pal and have more questions about their workings, please visit that web site directly www.PayPal.com.

Western Union Payments

Yes, we welcome Western Union payments as the preferred method of payment for all International buyers. We find this service convenient as do the people that use it. We do have a different mailing address for Western Union than the one that is listed on the Ordering page on this web site. That address will be given at the time an order is placed and the buyer requests to send Western Union.

Other Methods of Payment

In addition to accepting Pay Pal and Bidpay, for all orders placed within the United States, we accept money orders, cashier's checks, Western Union, and in some cases, cash. We do not accept any personal or business checks. For all International orders we accept Pay Pal, Western Union, and in some cases, cash. If you live in Canada or Japan, you may also send a Postal Money Order which can be obtained at your local Post Office branch.

Buying A TDL Gift Certificate

TDL Gift Certificates are good toward any purchase from our web site or from our auctions and can also be used for shipping fees. The great thing is that they never expire! To purchase one, just email us with the name and address of the person it is for and the dollar amount. You can pay by Pay Pal, Western Union, or a money order. Once payment has been received, the gift certificate will be sent to the lucky recipient to use as they wish. You will receive a confirmation email informing you that your payment has been received and that the certificate has been sent out. TDL Gift Certificates can be used Internationally, but will be for US dollars only.

How Do I Use My TDL Gift Certificate?

Your TDL Gift Certficate is good toward any purchase either from our web site or our auctions. It can also be used for shipping fees. You will need to mention the gift certificate code when placing your order. Then, send it along with your payment through regular mail or, if paying via an on-line source, let us know your gift certificate code and we will discount it from your grand total.

Our Return Policy

If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with your order from our web site, you may return it for a full refund (minus shipping & handling fees and any applicable insurance costs) provided the order is in the same condition as it was prior to shipment to you.

You must:

  1. Contact us within 3 business days upon receipt of the order to let us know what the problem is.
  2. Send the order back within 5 business days of receipt of the order. It is important that you inform us of when you will be sending it back so that we can be on the lookout for it to issue a prompt refund.
  3. Ship the order back via USPS Priority Mail insured. All International returns must be sent back via AIR MAIL since Surface Mail can take several months to arrive.

If your order was damaged during transit and you did not originally insure it, The Doll Lounge will not be held responsible to cover any loss or damages. If however you did purchase insurance, we will send all necessary paperwork to you so that you may pursue it with the Post Office in your area.

The Doll Lounge is only available as an on-line store. In addition to the web site, we sell collectibles on a monthly basis through eBay.
