Dusty & Friends Dolls
First Issue Dusty
First Issue Skye
The Dusty & Skye dolls, in the white boxes shown here, were the first issue dolls.  These dolls were equipped with the spring back action allowing them to use the accessories that you could buy for them which were the Sport Action Sets.  Their hands were curved and their wrists jointed so they could hold on to the bat, golf club, etc. allowing them to actually hit their targets.  Note the dark blue bathing suit on Dusty and the pink one on Skye.  These Dusty dolls were also issued with the Sport Action Doll sets as well.

Unfortunately, all of the dolls in the Dusty line suffer from minor to severe cases of melting as you can see in the photo of Dusty below.  The melting usually occurs at the neck, arms and hips joints and will bleed though to whatever the dolls are wearing.  I do not know of anything that can deter this from happening.   If someone out there does, please let me know!  I would like to be able to post it here for other Dusty collectors!
Thanks in advance!
Second Issue Dusty
Second Issue Skye
Here are the second issue Dusty and Skye dolls.  These dolls are not jointed at the wrists and they do not have the spring back action.  The Dusty doll has much longer hair than the first issue, no freckles, more pink lips and has more of a peach tone to her skin.  The Skye doll pretty much looks the same, with the exception of her swimsuit now being yellow instead of fushia.  These dolls were most likely cheaper to produce as they do not have all the special features that the first year dolls did.  Which coincides with there being a "Trade-In Special" doll that you see below.
Trade-In Special Dusty
Trade-In Special Skye
Here are the "Trade-In Special" Dusty and Skye dolls.  Back in the day, one would have traded in their first year doll plus $1.99 for this doll.  The Skye doll is pretty rare.  They also came with booklets which showcased the other items that you could buy for the dolls.
Cliff Doll & Pacesetter Outfits
This doll is so cool I can hardly stand it!  I have only seen Cliff in pictures and now I share them with you.  Looks like he was one slick guy!  Had his own outfits even!  I have not been able to confirm if Cliff was ever produced.
